Fragrance Adjustment & Formula Refinement Policy

At Scented You LLC, we understand that fragrance is a highly personal experience. Factors such as body chemistry, scent perception, aging (maceration), environment, and individual preferences can affect how a fragrance is experienced. Because scent is subjective, we offer fragrance adjustments as a courtesy in select situations.

A fragrance adjustment is not an admission that a product is defective, improperly formulated, or of poor quality. It is a customer service option offered at the sole discretion of Scented You LLC to better accommodate a customer’s individual scent experience or preference.

If a fragrance adjustment is approved, the following policy applies:

  • The original product must be returned to Scented You LLC before any adjustment can be performed.
  • The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the original product back to us.
  • Scented You LLC will cover the cost of the fragrance adjustment, any additional fragrance oils, ingredients, and materials required to complete the adjustment, and the cost of shipping the adjusted product back to the customer.
  • Adjustments will only be performed after the original product has been received and inspected.
  • Fragrance adjustments are offered as a courtesy and are not guaranteed for every order or circumstance.

Formula Refinements

As part of our commitment to creating the highest-quality fragrances possible, Scented You LLC may refine or update fragrance formulas over time. Formula refinements are a normal part of artisan fragrance development and may occur due to continued testing, customer feedback, ingredient availability, supplier changes, or our ongoing pursuit of product excellence.

A refined or updated formula does not mean that previous batches were defective, improperly formulated, or unsafe. It simply reflects our dedication to continuously improving our products and providing the best possible fragrance experience.
